How do my transactions get into Moneytaw?

Accepted Answer

Four ways: connect your bank for real-time sync, upload a bank statement (PDF, CSV or Excel), sync bank alert emails from your mailbox, or let the Android app read bank SMS alerts. You can also add anything manually.

Which banks does Moneytaw work with?

GTBank, Access Bank, Zenith, UBA, First Bank, Sterling, Union Bank, Providus, Opay, Palmpay and Moniepoint — both traditional banks and fintechs, with more coming.

Can you see my emails?

Only if you enable Email Sync, and even then we only read bank transaction alerts to turn them into records. We follow Google's Limited Use policy: no ads, no selling data, no humans reading your mail. You can disconnect anytime.

Is my financial data safe?

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and the app locks behind your PIN or fingerprint. We never sell your data, and you can export or delete everything whenever you want.

Yes — use the full web app at app.moneytaw.com in Safari, then add it to your home screen and it behaves like a native app. Same on Android, where you can also install it straight from your browser.

What is the AI categorization?

Moneytaw's AI reads raw bank narrations like 'POS TRF 0043 IKEJA' and files them under real categories like Food & Dining. If it gets one wrong, correct it once — your correction becomes a rule it follows from then on.

How do Kudi Points work?

Invite friends with your referral link. As they hit milestones, you earn Kudi Points — 1 point equals ₦1 off your subscription, up to fully covering it.

Can I track tithe or zakat?

Yes. Set Tithe, Zakat, or a custom giving plan, and Moneytaw calculates what you owe from your income and tracks what you've given.
